Is my energy storage device free?
Your supplied engird storage devices & its gateway box are provided on a zero cost lease and remain the property of Smart Grid Limited. You may have to pay an installation cost or re installation cost if you move. Any ancillary items which may be part of your installation such as upgraded distribution boards, cables or electrical protection equipment remain your property.
What if my Power storage device goes wrong?
Your device is guaranteed by its manufacture. In the unlikely event your device has a fault the maintenance is the responsibility of Smart Grid Limited, we aim to resolve any issues within 48 hours.
What happens to my energy storage device Wall if I move?
If you move you have two (2) options. Option 1, hand your energy storage device over to the new house owners and have a new one installed at your new Property. Option 2, have your device re located by Smart Grid. Please note it is your responsibility to advise SmartGrid at least 30 days before your intended move.
What if I want my energy storage device removed?
If you have met your contractual commitment of 24 months for you installation we will remove your device free of charge.
What if I want my energy storage device relocated?
If you are having an extension built or there is some other reason your device needs to be relocated, the Smart Grid team will relocate your system, given that the new position meets legislative and safety requirement,s for a small relocation fee agreed prior to work.
Will Smart Grid help me set up my system to get the best energy savings?
Yes SmartGrid will pre set your systems and provide details of how to get the best our of the system at installation and via a free help line.
Can Smart Grid provide my smart meter and electricity?
No, but Smart Grid can organise this on your behalf with an electricity provider of your choice or one of our recommended providers. We do not charge for this service.
How long will it take to get my smart meter, new tariff and energy storage device?
This largely depends on your existing electricity contract, your existing provider and your selected new electricity provider. Typically this is taking around three months. This installation of your energy storage device is currently around a three month lead time as well but this looks like increasing due to demand.
